What are the Indications for ESTRADIOL?

  • 1 INDICATIONS AND USAGE ALORA is an estrogen indicated for: ‚Ä¢ Treatment of Moderate to Severe Vasomotor Symptoms due to Menopause ( 1.1 ) ‚Ä¢ Treatment of Moderate to Severe Symptoms of Vulvar and Vaginal Atrophy due to Menopause ( 1.2 ) ‚Ä¢ Treatment of Hypoestrogenism due to Hypogonadism, Castration or Primary Ovarian Failure ( 1.3 ) ‚Ä¢ Prevention of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis ( 1.4 ) 1.1 Treatment of M oderate to S evere V asomotor S ymptoms d ue to M enopause 1.2 Treatment of M oderate to S evere S ymptoms of V ulvar and V aginal A trophy d ue to M enopause Limitation of Use When prescribing solely for the treatment of symptoms of vulvar and vaginal atrophy, first consider the use of topical vaginal products. 1.3 Treatment of H ypoestrogenism d ue to H ypogonadism, C astration or P rimary O varian F ailure 1.4 Prevention of P ostmenopausal O steoporosis Limitation of Use When prescribing solely for the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis, only consider therapy for women at significant risk of osteoporosis. First consider the use of non-estrogen medications.
