What are the Indications for DAPAGLIFLOZIN AND SAXAGLIPTIN?

  • 1 INDICATIONS AND USAGE QTERN is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Limitations of Use QTERN is not recommended for patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus. It may increase the risk of diabetic ketoacidosis in these patients [see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS (5.3) ] . QTERN is a combination of dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor and saxagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. (1) Limitations of Use : QTERN is not for treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus. (1)
