  1. Diabetes Insipidus
    1. Nephrogenic
      1. ADH (Antidiuretic Hormone) present
      2. Kidneys not responsive
      3. Cause -> increased calcium level
    2. Central
      1. Absence of ADH (Antidiuretic Hormone)
      2. Kidneys release all water -> increased diluted urine output (specific gravity 1.001-1.005)
      3. Increased sodium
      4. Increased osmolarity
      5. Cause
        1. Issues with head
        2. Medications (Dilantin, Lithium)
      6. Complication -> hypovolemia -> shock
      7. Treatment
        1. ADH (Pitressin)
        2. Administer fluids (to improve vascular volume)
        3. Watch urine specific gravity level
        4. Watch EKG for signs of ischemia
